Hybrid at Illinois Space Society 2024
This engine design team has made a breakthrough after seven years of relentless design, construction and engineering. It now has an engine capable of hot firing and sending a payload into the skies. Built with solid fuel and liquid oxidizer, this is a hybrid engine, a technology that has been little researched but promises striking results. In spite of this, the team has improvised solutions, constructed their own components and achieved success.
